Benny, always in at the bottom,out at the top to purge air. Otherwise it will take ages to clear it all. Absolutely no difference to cooling at that flow velocity.

So much info. Power steering line vibration fix or any parallel hoses or wires you don't want to rub... Zip ties, loop around put another in the middle of the two lines, then tighten the outer loop... that said you just removed the power steering 'cooler' at the front and it had 2 factory items there. Ohhh, what Musili bar/style brand is your go-to?

A proper (certified) 6 inch/150mm metal ruler is called a "pocket scale" by engineers and machinists.

I used to think it was that the retractable steel ones were tape measures and the fibre-glass reinforced plastic ones that tailors and seamstresses use were measuring tapes, but the are both called both names across industry publications and stores selling them.

Fun fact, I once had an AU falcon, replaced a lot of power steering pressure switches and leak, one day ran low on fluid, only had some 10w30 in the boot, put that in to get me home and was the last time I had to top it up for 2 years. Was still running that strange atf/engine oil combo leak free when I got rid of it.

You can put ATF (like Dex-III or Mercon) in a power steering system. Fords fluid is just a hydraulic fluid type. I’ve had the same quandary with what substitution to use on other Ford systems.
